Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU 2026

THE PROJECT

In 2026, Cyprus took on the Presidency of the Council of the European Union — one of the most important roles a European member state can hold. High-level meetings, official speeches, ceremonies, and events were taking place across the island, all of them needing to be captured professionally and made available fast.
Velon Media was brought in as the official visual production partner for the Presidency. Our job was to handle everything visual: video coverage, photography, drone footage, live speeches, and the official Cyprus Presidency 2026 Calendar book.

THE CHALLENGE

Government events don't wait. Ministers, ambassadors, and European officials needed footage and photos ready to go the same day — for press releases, official communications, and social media. There was no room for delays.
At the same time, the quality had to be at the highest level. This wasn't a corporate event or a marketing campaign — it was Cyprus representing itself in front of all of Europe. Every photo, every video, every drone shot had to look the part.
Delivering the best quality, same day, every time — that was the challenge we took on throughout the entire Presidency.
